Who we are
about
VKJ Expedition has gotten to know the Nordic countries and has been amazed by the beauty of our nearest landscapes. We have explored interesting places with quite good success. Being in the nature gives us great joy and drives us to seek for more experiences in the mountains and fells - in a sustainable way.
We want to encourage everyone to seek their own adventures.
Since the start of our expedition-like adventures in the arctic wilderness, we have planned two main trips each year: one during the summer season and another around the winter. Every year brings something new to the menu. In between these bigger expeditions we spend time planning, hanging out, going on short hikes and of course practicing various things to improve our skills and safety.
To achieve our growing goals in the future we seek collaboration with various sources, groups, fellow explorers etc. Feel free to be in touch!
We like to point out that anyone can set their foot out and enjoy the nature in some way! It doesn't have to involve high altitudes or freezing temperature. Whether you spend some time on your local campsite, or traverse the South pole, it's good for you.
VKJ Expedition, or VeeKooJii Expedition as we sometimes call it, started forming around 2016 when a few lads decided to plan a hiking trip. Naturally we went all in and straight to the beautiful Jotunheimen region in Norway!
Considering the fact that we had very random gear and questionable routes the trip was a success enough to ignite the spark to explore.
